Notes
It is with great pleasure that I welcome the release of this third CD of the Orchestra Filarmonica Giovanile “Alpe-Adria” dedicated to the music of Pergolesi. I would like to underline on this occasion the original activity of this complex, which finds in its director, maestro Luigi Pistore, the point of reference. In its name this orchestra refers to that “Alpe-Adria” Working Community that constituted one of the first examples of cross-border collaboration in years in which divisions were still alive. It was precisely in the Alpe-Adria culture that it found fertile ground for meeting and development. Secondly, I find it very important that this musical complex “works” thanks to the presence of so many young people from different backgrounds: it is the concrete sign of both a cultural synergy that enhances young talents and of the international projection of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Finally, it is worth mentioning the activity that is carried out with attention to the territory and in this case proposing a more in-depth knowledge of a great Italian musician such as Gian Battista Pergolesi. I wish this CD and the entire Alpe-Adria Youth Philharmonic Orchestra the greatest success.
